Suffolk Co. (NY) Police Dept. chooses Applied Tactical Technologies as its holster supplier.

BABYLON, NY. June 19, 2008 – Applied Tactical Technologies, Inc., (ATT-TACTICAL™) a privately held New York corporation that provides weaponry, explosives and support equipment to law enforcement and military end-users, announced today that they have been selected to produce the new Convertible Thigh/Belt Holster System for the department’s TASER™ electronic control devices.

“We designed the holster to allow the officer to switch between duty belt mount and thigh mount to provide the most adaptable platform available to law enforcement. One snap and a twist of the wrist is all it takes to switch holster position from one to the other. Being fully repositionable will provide adjustability never before available”, stated J. Glazer, Applied Tactical Technologies’ Media Relations Director. The department has issued an unlimited multi-year contract to provide with an initial order of 325 units to be deployed immediately. The Holster System is designed and intended to outlast the very weapon that it will carry.
Using extensive input from field trials of prototypes worn by potential end-users, over a hundred design changes went into effect to bring it to market.  Exclusive use of top grade materials and super heavy duty hardware has produced an extremely strong and long-wearing method of carry. “We are very excited to offer this product to our domestic and foreign clients,” added J. Glazer.

Suffolk Co. (NY) Police Department awards major contract to Applied Tactical Technologies for Damascus Protective Gear

Applied Tactical Technologies, Inc., (ATT-TACTICAL™) a privately held New York corporation that provides weaponry, explosives and support equipment to law enforcement and military end-users, announced today that they have been awarded through a highly competitive bid process, a contract to supply protective apparel to the department’s Crisis Action Team (CAT). Damascus is a major supplier of correctional and riot gear specifically designed and manufactured to protect officers from serious injury during public disturbances, as well as day to day law enforcement efforts.

“It was a highly charged bid process with another vender of a competitor product challenging the validity of our bid prices. In the end, it was our product’s design, quality and price that convinced the department’s CAT supervisor that Damascus Protective Gear would be their choice. The status quo of the monolithic multi-national holding company dominating the market place is coming to an end, and we are strategically positioned to take the lead,” stated Jon Glazer, Applied Tactical Technologies’ Information Director. “All our hard work, time and expense in achieving this major award was well spend.”
