Training Courses

A highly regarded Firearms Instructor who works for a major northeastern metropolitan police department was recently quoted as saying that "my department wants their police officers to receive just enough firearms training so as to scare them from using their weapon on the street." The reference point was given was that it was cheaper to replace a $58k a year cop than to defend a $58,000,000 wrongful death lawsuit. It was this department whose officers had an 8% hit ratio in all gun battles for the year 2005.

The point? You can't receive too much training. Whether it's on your dime or your department's, there is no such thing as knowing too much!
