Ballistic protection comes in a variety of configurations and styles.
Whether worn as a concealable while on duty or outfitted for a specialized tactical entry team we have several choices to choose from. Here is a brief description of just some of the materials we use to create our many designs in your needed threat level.

Female Bullet-Proof Vests

While soft body armor can save the life of an law enforcement officer by preventing bullet penetration, the impact energy transferred to the officer's body will cause painful injury, called blunt trauma, most often in the form of severe bruises and even broken bones. The dangers from ballistic impact are particularly acute in the case of blunt trauma to female breasts. Breast, or mammary, tissue is easily bruised and heals slowly. Injury often results in necrosis, or death, of the mammary tissue with lumpy scar tissue eventually replacing the dead tissue. Beyond possible disfigurement, breast injuries from blunt trauma can result in loss of a breast and even death from internal bleeding.

The PYTHON© vest features full side coverage designed to meet directly on the side of the torso. The removable four-point, fully adjustable waist and shoulder straps ensure a proper fit and maximum comfort. The moisture wicking micro-fiber liner helps keep you drier. All our concealable vests INCLUDE a second carrier.

NIJ-Compliance Test report # 06N006, dated January 7th. 2006: The TG-Hybrid Level II was tested to its ballistic limits and performed flawlessly.

  • .357mag 158gr. JSP with the panels dry and wet, at 90° angle and at 30° angle

PPI's new Sabre ST is certified in accordance with NIJ Standard 0101.04 for Threat Level II ballistic resistance and NIJ Standard 0115.00 for Spike Level 1. Sabre ST is available in our Python or Viper concealable carriers. Both styles offer the most comprehensive side coverage of any concealable vest while maintaining a comfortable fit.

Stab Armor standard, the first of its kind in the United States, specifies the minimum requirements for body armor designed to protect the torso against slash and stab threats.
This NIJ Standard describes the test methodology used for the assessment and focuses primarily on knives that are readily available from sports equipment retailers—ones of high quality that feature very sharp machine-ground cutting edges and fine points.
Lower quality, prison-made knives, ice picks, and shivs are not addressed in this report.
The threats treated in this standard are from hand-delivered impacts from instruments whose points or tips lie near the centerline of the clenched fist holding the weapon.
